Institution
I did some research on the institution of my film genre and found that for comedy spy or comedy spoof there isn’t one particular and one most popular institution that tend to make this type of film. I found on box office mojo that although a lot of the big and well successful distributers that have made some good movies of this genre there is also some less popular and not so well known institutions that have also. I found that the most successful comedy spy/spoof film was Austin Powers Goldmember and this was produced by the studio NL. This studio itself is not very well known or successful as some others such as Fox or Columbia but the film it produced was ranked above. This shows that although it is quite a risky genre, a wide vary of institutions are willing to produce one of these style films.
New Line Cinema
New line is an American film studio that started off in 1967 by Robert Shaye and Michael Lynne. It later merged with the popular studio Warner Bros in 2008. New Line studio distributed the Austin Powers movies which earned the most money of any comedy spy/spoof movie.
