Change in Genre

Over the past few weeks we have done research on the spoof film genre as we thought it would be a good type to do for our opening sequence. But when it came to planning we realised that although this is a popular genre and one of our favourite types of film it would be easier and overall alot better to stick to making a spy action film instead.

  1. You would be well advised to look at a couple of modern examples of straight spy movies (e.g. Casino Royal, Bourne Identity) in order to identify the similarities and differences. You might also want to fairly quickly sort out your scenario, since without this you will struggle to get anything shot before the deadline (less than 3 weeks now).

  2. I'm very concerned that you've posted nothing since this post, although I am aware that you've done a lot of work since then. You should really have blog entries covering the re-planning of your project and how this links into your research as well as notes about the shoot (problems and successes, illustrated with footage/ photos), a review of your footage (edit choices with reasons/ screengrabs) and even possibly a short review of progress. At the moment, you are significantly behind where you need to be, and it will be hard to justify a high mark unless you make an effort to catch up.
